Elite Furniture Works Ltd. — furniture manufacturer in Accra, Ghana
Ghana’s one-stop furniture manufacturer since 2011. A 5,000m² factory in Accra producing office, school, healthcare, laboratory, residential and hospitality furniture — designed, built, delivered and installed.
Elite Furniture Works is a Ghanaian manufacturer with a 5,000m² factory in Accra. We take a fit-out from measured survey and shop drawings through to production, delivery and installation — one contract, one accountable team. Established January 2011. Crafting spaces. Defining excellence.
What we make
Workspaces that hold up to a full working week. Executive suites, open-plan benching, meeting rooms and reception. We manufacture the desking and casework in Accra and bring in task seating through our supply partners, so a floor is delivered as one coordinated package rather than six separate orders.
- Executive desks and credenzas
- Bench and cluster workstations
- Boardroom and meeting tables with integrated power
- Reception counters and back-walls
- Storage walls, pedestals and lockers
- Acoustic screens and soft seating
Furniture that survives a full academic year, then nine more. Classrooms, lecture theatres, libraries, boarding houses and administrative offices. School furniture fails at the joints, so ours is built around welded or bolted steel frames with replaceable tops and a spares programme your bursar can actually order from.
- Single and dual student desks with tip-up or fixed seats
- Lecture theatre tiered seating and writing tablets
- Library shelving, carrels and issue desks
- Staff room and administrative furniture
- Dormitory beds, wardrobes and study units
- Examination hall folding tables
Surfaces that take a cleaning regime without giving up. Wards, consulting rooms, waiting areas, nurse stations and pharmacies. Healthcare furniture lives or dies on the detail: sealed edges, coved junctions, wipeable upholstery and no crevice that a cleaning trolley cannot reach.
- Nurse stations and clinical worktops
- Ward bedside cabinets and over-bed tables
- Waiting area beam and modular seating
- Consulting room desks and examination furniture
- Pharmacy dispensing counters and drug storage
- Sluice and utility casework
Benches specified around the work, not the catalogue. Research institutions, government facilities, commercial testing labs and the natural resource sector. We build C-frame and cantilever bench systems, fume cupboard surrounds, under-bench storage and write-up stations, with the service spine detailed alongside your mechanical and electrical consultants.
- Island and wall-mounted bench systems
- Epoxy resin, phenolic and stainless worktops
- Under-bench mobile and fixed storage
- Fume cupboard surrounds and service spines
- Write-up and instrument stations
- Industrial workbenches and tool storage
Fitted joinery measured to your wall, not to a box size. Fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms, kitchens, media walls and loose furniture for homes and apartment developments. Most of what we photograph in this category is fitted joinery — the work that has to follow an out-of-square wall and still close cleanly.
- Fitted and walk-in wardrobes
- Kitchens and kitchenettes
- Vanity units and bathroom joinery
- Media walls and living room storage
- Beds, headboards and bedroom sets
- Dining tables, chairs and sideboards
Guest rooms built as a repeatable unit, not one at a time. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars and retail. We prototype one room, you sign it off, and the rest of the floor is produced against that approved prototype — which is how a 60-key property gets furnished without sixty separate conversations.
- Guest room sets — beds, headboards, casegoods, seating
- Bar counters and back-bar joinery
- Reception desks and concierge stations
- Restaurant tables, banquettes and loose seating
- Lounge and lobby soft seating
- Outdoor and poolside furniture
How a project runs
- Brief & survey — We take your drawings or measure the site ourselves, agree the schedule of furniture and confirm access, lift sizes and delivery windows before anything is priced.
- Design & shop drawings — Our designers and architects produce layouts, elevations and item-level shop drawings. Nothing enters the factory until you have signed the drawing and the finish sample.
- Prototype — On repeat items — a guest room, a classroom, an apartment type — we build one, you inspect it, and the production run is measured against it.
- Manufacture — Panel processing, joinery, upholstery and finishing run in our 5,000m² Accra factory, with QA checks at cut, assembly and finish stages.
- Delivery & installation — Sequenced to your programme, floor by floor if needed, with our own installation crews and protection to finished surfaces.
- Handover & aftercare — Snag walk, touch-up, care instructions and a spares schedule so replacements can be ordered against item codes years later.
The factory
A 5,000m² facility in Accra running panel processing, solid timber joinery, metal fabrication, upholstery and finishing under one roof. Because production is local, a change to a shop drawing costs days rather than a shipping cycle.
- Panel processing — Beam saw and sliding table cutting, edgebanding and CNC boring for carcass and casegoods work.
- Solid timber joinery — Machining, jointing and assembly of hardwood frames, doors, counters and mouldings.
- Metal fabrication — Cutting, welding and powder coating of steel frames for education, laboratory and industrial ranges.
- Upholstery — Frame building, foam profiling, cutting and covering for contract seating and headboards.
- Finishing — Spray booths for lacquer, stain and two-pack finishes, matched to an approved sample.
- Quality assurance — Checks at cut, assembly and finish — plus a pre-delivery inspection against the signed drawing.

Frequently asked questions
Do you manufacture in Ghana or import?
Both, deliberately. Anything made to fit — casework, joinery, counters, benching, upholstery — is manufactured in our 5,000m² Accra factory. Standard ranges such as task seating come through our direct supply partnerships. One order, one delivery programme.
What is a realistic lead time?
Four to eight weeks from approved drawings for most joinery and desking, six to fourteen weeks for education, laboratory and large hospitality packages. Lead times run from drawing approval, not from first enquiry, so the fastest way to compress a programme is to get drawings signed early.
Can you work from our architect’s or interior designer’s package?
Yes. We regularly build to a consultant’s FF&E package and produce the shop drawings that sit under it. We will flag anything that is not buildable as drawn before it is priced, rather than after it is made.
Do you handle delivery and installation?
Yes, with our own crews. We sequence deliveries floor by floor where a building is being released in phases, and we protect finished surfaces during install.
Can you supply spares later?
Yes. Every project is handed over with a spares schedule and item codes, so a replacement drawer front or a matching desk can be ordered years afterwards against the original specification.
Do you offer storage?
Yes. We provide temporary warehousing when a site is not ready to receive furniture, so a delayed handover does not force you to take delivery into an unfinished building.
Do you take on public sector tenders?
Yes. We supply government institutions and publicly funded schools, hospitals and research facilities, and we can provide the documentation packs those procurements require.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum for standard ranges. For bespoke manufacture we will tell you honestly when a single item is not economic to tool up for, and point you to a range item instead.
